Meet at the Bowery Trailhead at approximately 200 East and 200 North, the easternmost end of 200 North in Hurricane.

Walking the Hurricane Canal above the town and Three Falls

This hike follows a portion of the canal on the east side of Hurricane starting at the canal monument and views a flume — a bridge for water — and a tunnel. Afterward, hikers will travel to Three Falls to see a portion of the canal next to Gould’s Wash.

Exploring the Historic Hurricane Canal

This historic guided hike follows the route of the old Historic Hurricane Canal (no longer in use) in the canyon from the Hurricane Hill Trailhead to Chinatown Wash where hikers will traverse three tunnels and two flumes (a bridge for water). While mostly following the canal route, this hike includes some scrambling over rocks as well as a short descent and climb.

A Historic Walk through Confluence Park

This hike explores the history of Confluence Park, the river bottom between LaVerkin and Hurricane. Hikers will traipse through volcanic rock, view and hear the history of an old hydroelectric plant, see an old turkey granary as well as an Ancestral Puebloan cave dwelling. Even though the hike is between two cities, hikers feel like they are in another world.
